To inculcate a sense of discipline among the youth and to develop their character, the ideal of service and capacity for leadership and a spirit of comradeship, the College provides facilities for N.C.C training to the volunteer students. The organization aims at providing service and adventure training to the youth so as to stimulate their interest in the defence of the country and also to build up a reserve of manpower for the Armed Forces.

Two wings of NCC Infantry are there, namely:

Senior Division (Boys)

80 seats

Senior Girls

50 seats




As announced by the authorities, the College is likely to have an Air Wing with effect from the ensuing session.

Rules and regulations of NCC


Every enrolled NCC cadet shall have to undergo two parades of two hours each in a week and is required to attend atleast 40 parades in a year.


All cadets shall have to put in 75% attendance at parades so as to become eligible for certificate exams.


Enrolled cadets will have to attend atleast one camp.


Uniform issued to the cadets is to be used with great care. The uniforms are to be returned at the end of academic session to the concerned officers failing which permission will not be accorded to appear in the University examination.


‘B’ and ‘C’ certificate examinations are held annually for cadets in 2nd and 3rd year of NCC training respectively.


Misbehavior and misconduct in NCC activities as adjudged by Associate NCC Officers can debar a cadet from appearing in the University examination.


Enrolled students are covered by insurance against any mishap during the training period.

NCC Activities


  • Four cadets attended Army Attachment Camp at Jammu.
  • Two cadets attended Thal Sainik Camp at New Delhi.
  • Twenty cadets appeared for C Certificate examination.
  • Five cadets participated at RD Parade New Delhi; Damanpreet Kour was adjudged as the Best Cadet of J&K, Cadet Parshottam Choudhary participated as Right Markar in NCC contingent at Rajpath, Bir Birender Singh in PM RallySlithering and Cancer Awareness Program.
  • Parshottam Choudhary & Bir Birender Singh were selected for Youth Exchange Programme to the Commonwealth Countries.


  • 29-09-2011: Program on personality development organized.


  • NCC Cadets participate in TSC-2012; Brings 1st , 2nd & 3rd in State Level Shooting  Competition & 4th at National Level in Obstacle training.
  • 2nd position in Flag Area Competition at RD Parade New Delhi & 2nd position in Group Song Competition at RD Camp New Delhi.


  • NCC cadets brought laurels in Republic Day Parade, 2014 at New Delhi. Cadets Vivek, Paras Khan and Pankaj got an opportunity to be a part of NCC squad on Rajpath , Cadets Rakesh, Neha and Jimmy Rajput participated in PM Rally. These cadets along with the other cadets of the state had a distinguished role in bringing the J&K NCC Directorate  to 8th position that was conferred upon a trophy of the best improved directorate of NCC. Cadet Tanya Jamwal was a part of guard of honour during the PM rally.
