Admission Rules
Eligibility
A student who has passed Higher Secondary Part-II Examination (12th Class) of the J&K Board of School Education, CBSE or an examination recognized as its equivalent by the University of Jammu is eligible for admission to B.A/B.Sc./B.Com/BCA/BBA SEM-I. The admission schedule is announced every year along with detailed information by University of Jammu. Students seeking admission to B.A/ B.Sc / B.C.A /B.Com SEM-I shall apply through online as well as offline mode. They should mention their choice of subject combinations in order of their preference as per the combinations available in the college. The admission is given strictly on merit basis in accordance with the college intake capacity for different streams/subjects fixed by Higher Education Department/University of Jammu and for candidates belonging to categories as per S.R.O. 126 Dated: 28.06.1994. The percentage will be calculated by adding 5% of the total marks to the actual marks obtain by such candidates.
ADMISSION SCHEDULE & PROCEDURE
The admission schedule is announced every year by the University of Jammu/College administration through its Website and admission notice circulated locally/published in newspapers of the state. Students seeking admission in B.A Sem-I shall have to apply Online or on a printed format available from the college office along with photograph and requisite documents mentioned in the said format. Each student can fill in format only mentioning three combinations of subjects as a choice in order of preference selected from the list of combinations permitted by the College/University of Jammu. Selection lists shall be displayed as per the schedule of the University. The students whose names appear in the first and subsequent merit lists have to take admission in subjects’ combination allotted to him/her and deposit the requisite fee. Students who do not deposit the requisite fee within the time frame notified in each merit list will forfeit the right to admission and the seats will be offered to other eligible students falling next in the merit list.
