NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME
- To foster a spirit of comradeship and love for humanity in general and rural folk in particular, facilities are provided to volunteers with a desire for social service to put in their best for alleviating the sufferings of the sick, the helpless and the down-trodden.
- The NSS squads work under the able guidance of Dr. Ajay Kumar and Dr. Rippy Bawa (NSS Programme Officers) who guide them and chalk out programmes for voluntary social service.
- The College has two units of NSS, each consisting of 100 volunteers. Each unit functions under a Programme Officer. The students have to apply on a prescribed form for seeking admission to a unit.
- Students enrolled as NSS volunteers are required to put in at least 120 hours of social work and attend one ten-day camp to become eligible to receive a certificate.
- Besides regular camp at College level, a Special Camp at University level and a national Integration Camps, adventure camps, trekking camps etc. are also organized every year during summer and winter vacations.
