Entrepreneurship Development Programme Concludes At GDC Udhampur

A valedictory function of a four week EDP training programme was
held in the college. The objective of the programme was to train the college students
for self employment in different fields of their choice and motivate them for setting up
of their own units under various Govt. Schemes. In the training programme about 25
students of B.Sc. final year were trained. During the training programme, resource
persons from DIC, SICOP, EDI, JK ITCO and successful entrepreneurs deliberated
on various technical topics related to the programme. As a part of the training,
students also visited a pesticide company SAFIX and DIC Udhampur.
In a valediction programme, Prof Subhash Chander, Principal was the chief guest. In
his speech he deliberated that “inculcation of enterprenual skill among the
students is the need of the hour and it is necessary to develop a person as
successful entrepreneur by arranging such programmeâ€. He interacted with the
students and students apprised that programme has helped us to broaden our vision
towards entrepreneurship. Later on, worthy Principal distributed the certificates
among the students.
The function was attended by the college staff, prominent among them were Prof
Babu Lal Thakur, HOD Education and Prof Suresh Kumar Dogra HOD Physics. The
programme was coordinated by Prof Gurvinder Raj Verma course coordinator &
HOD Sericulture and Sh. Binoy Kumar, Consultant J&K ITCO.
