Multifaceted Programs marked the 2nd October Celebrations by the NSS and NCC Units of GDC Udhampur

Celebrating Gandhi and Shastri Jayanti in Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, India@75, the NSS and NCC Units of GDC Udhampur organized a number of multifaceted programs under the Patronship of Principal Prof. Subash Chander Sharma and supervision of Program officers Prof. Somosh Kumar, Dr.Rippy Bawa and ANO NCC Prof. Shivani Sharma.

The patron and the chief guest Principal Prof. Subash Chander Sharma in his message congratulated the NSS and NCC Units successful coordination of the events and appealed to all to be the active stakeholders in the spreading the core values of Mahatma Gandhi ji, that are the Ray of hope in the Dangerous Violent and Intolerant Society and World. On the occasion he also paid Tributes to Revered Lal Bahadur Shastri by apprising all about his simplicity and great deeds for the motherland.

He appreciated and congratulated all the participants of different events. The events organized included essay writing, quiz contest ny NSS and article writing, culmination of fit India run 2.0<

In the essay writing competition out of 08 participants, Angrej Singh, Antriksha, and Vanshika Gupta Clinched 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions, whereas Manita Sharma nd Kajal were adjudged on consolatory position. The judges for the Event were Dr. Pankaj Sharma and Prof. Shaji Khan.

In the Quiz contest on Gandhian thoughts and Philosophy Vanshika Mahajan, Remu Sharma and Lalita Sharma Shared 1st Position, Angraz Katoch, Nayan Mahajan secured 2nd position and Ajay Vohra, Sumaiyaa Katoch, Yogesh Anthal, Anuj Sharma,Neelam Katoch, Aryan Bhav Sharma, Manita Sharma, Kajal Sharma, and Ruhi Khajuria shared 3rd position respectively. Prof. Shaji Khan and Prof. Rakesh Kumar served as Online Quiz Masters.

The NCC Unit of the college under guidance of. ANO Prof. Shivani Sharma, culminated today the Fit India Campaign 2.0 started on 15th of August 2021, in which a total of 225 cadets participated in a cumulative run of 634.54 kms. On 2nd October today 12 cadets made a Run for 40 kms.

In the second event 23 cadets expressed their views on Gandhi Jayanti and posted it on NCC digital forum.

The cadets also shared the articles written on their twitter accounts to create digital awareness
