Red Ribbon Club of Govt. Degree College Udhampur in collaboration with J&K State AIDS Control Society organized a ralley in connection with AIDS awareness. The ralley was flagged off by the Principal of the College. The ralley passed through the various locations of the city in which the NCC Cadets and NSS Volunteers among many others participated. The students carried banners/placards with slogans depicting not to indulge in activities which spread AIDS. The students also held interactions with the common masses in small groups to aware them about this dreaded disease. Earlier the students were addressed by Prof. (Major) Kamal Kishore, NCC Officer and Prof. Hans Raj Sharma Convener Red Ribbon Club in which they emphasized that each student be the ambassador to propagate the ill effects of AIDS among the common masses in their towns and villages so that society can be freed from the various anti-social menaces.
